As a suggestion - we can make "Group Buys" forum open only for registered users. This will hide it from Google.

Or use a googlebot instruction not to scan portions of the forum.

I'm not sure if it'll be possible to do. I don't think putting URL like "http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=9" into robots.txt will work.

If you can add meta tags for all post which belong to "Group buys" then <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> would do it

You're right for older bots, but Googlebot is a superbot. Wink

If we're going to hide group buy posts, then it's better to hide them from all search engines, not just Google. Adding meta tag is a good solution, but it requires me to change the code, which I'd like to avoid. I think that making the forum for registered users only is much easier to implement, and it will hide it not only from search engines, but from guests too.

I updated permissions of "Group Buys" forum. Now you need to log in to read or post in that forum.
