Can anbody tell me what these Agilent leadless gold type chips are? what there function is?

I know these are in Allegro Workstations, can be Astro memory controller

I don't know if this helps or not but I have an hp that looks identical. It has the same little pegs on the bottom and everything. I have been wondering what it is as well.
