Are rare chips still fetching the same sort of money on Ebay? Any shocking sales lately or has the market gone flat? Haven't looked for so long really, but I'm keen to get started buying again soon. _________________ 4000+ chips.

| Chips appear to have gone a bit flat if you ask me. I am buying more and selling less these days for that reason. |

Yupp, feels like prices has gone down much thanks to our chinese lads offering many (rare) chips. There has also been some good deals here in the forum. Another thing (for me?) is that the the dollar value has gone down by 13% against the swedish krona.
(Thats good when you buy, but when you sell something or receive the googleads payment its not that fun... ) _________________ My collection: http://www.cpucollection.se :::::: http://www.chipdb.org Photos of chips you never knew existed. Now over 6000 different chips in the database. |

The bottom's definitely dropping out of the Intel market, exactly as I predicted it would. Lots of people selling chips now that weren't ever that rare to begin with. The newest area of growth in vintage ICs is the pre-1970 and non-Intel stuff... And not just chips, but also vintage chip ephemera.

More sellers than collectors in the market then, I suppose I'll be buying and buying too then, waiting for the pendulum to swing back the other way
I've always bought more than I have sold, but do try to buy in bulk to save money... So it looks like it's going to be an expensive year _________________ 4000+ chips.
