Over the holidays I finished a very interesting biography of Andy Grove, telling his and Intel's history to this day. It is much more than merely a biography, though, So, if you're not only interested in Intel microprocessors themselves but the industry and management decisions behind them, try to get hold of this book. Alas, if you expect a book deeply critical of Grove and/or Intel, you won't find it there.
There are some very interesting chapters about single-sourcing the 386 and the handling of the FDIV bug, for example. Also, the relationship of Intel and Microsoft is treated in detail.
It's not cheap at $29.95, but worth its price in my opinion.
