| Can I use this CPU (Celeron M 330, 1.4GHz - Banias 400MHz FSB, 130nm, 512KB L2, PPGA FC-PGA2, 478-pin) in a standard S478 motherboard? Compaq Presario 2210US laptop mainboard failed. Would like to build a desktop (using this CPU, and a few other parts from laptop) until I can get back to the states to pick up a new laptop. Volunteer in Guatemala right now, parts are scarce - and expensive - found a Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo C carcass with S478 - need to cobble something together for now . celticbrooder@yahoo.com |

As I know the mobile cpu version has a different electrical signaling, so the motherboard can't support it.
Post the Scaleo C motherboard name you find inside the box. Btw Scaleo has a good design... |
