same IDTs with subtle difference

The one with "IDT" in UPPER case,the other with "idt" in LOWER case. Has anyone noticed it before? who could give a brief explanation. thanks in advance~~~~

Maybe they changed it to match exactly their company logo? Their company logo uses uppercase letters.

Someone forgot to put upper case in the logo?

That wasn't always the case.




Some time in the mid-'90s they went from what you see above to "idt," then finally to IDT.

If you do a Google image search on "idt winchip" (sans quotes) you'll see a mixture of upper and lowercase logos.

Yepp, i do that sort of distinguishing in the cpu library

It spells TIME, which i unfortunately cant buy on Ebay. Laughing (To much at work right now. Been traveling a lot) I have about 100 new pics to upload soon, including yours. Not to mention my own collection where the unscanned items pile are growing... Wink
