Hi,

I would like to ask what happens if I put ECC memory module into a non-ECC supporting motherboard. Will it work?

I have VIA KT133 and RAM I would like to buy is 1 GB ECC CL3 133 Mhz. Will it work together?

Thanks

Martin

Only some motherboards support ECC, and also, how many sticks do you have?

Some boards do not support 512MB sticks, you need a max density of 256MB/stick.

On the other hand, I have an Apollo133 board which supports both ECC/non-ECC RAM at a capacity of 1GB with only 2 slots Very Happy

I have three available slots. My exact board is: KOB KT133a FSX with updated bios to version 1.2f ....

I am not sure how many MB support my board per stick.

I would like to know if I can put inside ECC memory. Will it work like parit memory or will it not boot?

The auction is ending soooon Smile I hope you can help me
