Bacterio, Vista runs fine with 4GB of ram, raid with 4 raptors and a quad sli configuration... slow... you don't know what you are talking about! LOL
I'd suggest to have two quad cores to benefit all of Vista though, otherwise a bit sluggish
And remember to have a USB 2.0 key of 1 Gb, Vista takes advantage of it for startup.
A 2500 dollars config, who ain't got that?
P.S. If you have a fridge put all in it, cooling is important too |

| maybe in 2010, all i wanna do now i can do better/faster with xp/2000, also because i know it. and... never ever will buy it. win98 is enough by the way (32 MB RAM NEEDED), and best for playing old games too. |

vista is nice, but i neve would use it before SP1
actually i use W2K (on my PII-500 Server-FTP-SSH-...Notebook) and XP (on my P-Mobile 1,8Ghz Notebook)
I don't have enough time to play beta-tester for a new OS _________________ best regards borris

| It is the built in digital rights management that bothers me most about vista. The last thing I need in my life is an OS that decides what files I can access and which ones I can't. |
