UV erasable chips need a window.
So this can be either a ROM, a PROM or an EEPROM. Not sure, but as this chip with a window would indeed be an EPROM i guess this is the electrical erasable version, the EEPROM with 265 k capacity _________________ You may use the photos I have posted here under CC BY-NC-SA license. |

it IS a EPROM, and a UV EPROM at that.
however like tlc stated it is for production, and thus in a much cheaper plastic case, effectively making it a OTP part.
There has been some success erasing these with soft X-rays. _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
