Hello;
Thank you for giving me a chance to request info. as a first time poster.
Wouid it be possible for you to advice regarding comparability of processor in the notebook system?
My question is as follows;
1) Is first generation Intel Pentium M(Centrino) processor comparable with Dell Inspiron 8500 laptop with BIOS A08, which is currently loaded with Pentium 4-M 2.2 Ghz processor?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I appreciate your business.
Warm Regards.

| I'm pretty sure that the pins changed orientation between these 2, and the motherboard may/or may not recognize the powers of the new chip and the bios could be an issue as well......the pins are the main problem to overcome. |

call to Dell help desk and ask for highest CPU used in this model. They will not tell you what max speed CPU you can use - they only offer spare parts from them. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
