My motherboard fried along with the processor and fan. the damage is covered under insurance and i need to know what in todays market is compairable to the mother board and processor i had.
it would be like looking at boxing in the 80's and now its UFC in the 2000's.
at the level the 1700+xp and the FIC AD11 was when i bought it 4 yrs ago what level would it be compared to in todays market. |

Maybe some amd 64 3000+ with 512 ram. An asrock or gigabyte motherboard.
Am2 socket, a little more money in and a 3600+ dual core for nowadays multi tasking.
This way you have to change ram to ddr2. So if they are giving you a middle range like back then make sure you get at least that.
If they are not just replacing parts.
Good luck and happy warranty extension time!! |

that was what i was thinking too, but really wasnt sure with the pace the industry is moving these days.
renters insurance with computer coverage never thought i would use it until my motherboard caught on fire without warning. |
