I got a Japaness Mobile Gear for DoCoMo machine yesterday.
I searched google for info about it .

======

I'm surprise that there is an intel 486sx-16 in this samll machine.
I tried to boot it up but fail.

So I opened it to take the CPU for my collection, I expect there is a PQFP i486sx-16 in it, I don't have a PQFP i486sx-16 in my collection yet. Wink

But what I found ?

I'm super surprise Surprised there is BGA i486sx-16 in it. Smile

Very interesting. In flip chip configuration. It must have been made much later than most 486's. Quite an interesting anomaly.

There are "i(m)(C)'89'94" marking on ther PCB board.
So I think it's made by IBM with intel's 486 core.

I think so too.
MMC-1 and MMC-2 cards are made by IBM, with Intel cpus.
It could be the same.

Look "70H0859" at the board!
It's obvious IBM naming convention
