Need help upgrading my processor

I've been using the same processor for 5 years, and now im thinking about buying a new processor for my computer. The problem is, I know that I have a socket 754, but im not sure if other 8th gen processors (for sockets 940, 939, AM2 and F) will work on my 754 socket. Can anyone help me?

My knowledge about computers are pretty limited, and english isn't my first language so please excuse me if I made any mistakes.

Almost all socket 754 motherboards don't support socket 939/940/AM2/F processors. I know ASrock made socket 754 motherboards that supported socket 939 and socket AM2 processors with the help of extra CPU board. Try to determine the model of your motherboard - if it's ASrock K8Upgrade-something then you can upgrade it to socket 939 or socket AM processor.
