The Toshiba Z8004C-6 I'm not 100% sure about. A couple of posts in the forum say it is a Z80, but I think from the part number that it is a Z8004 (part of the Z8000 series). Can anyone confirm which is correct?

nice update!
resistance between Vcc and GND is much lower than other pins z80 and z8004 have different pinout, so this is a way to find out. (not a good one though)

I think TMPZ8004C-6 is from Z8000 family. Z80 part would have extra "4" in it, i.e TMPZ84004C-6.

Thanks Genna. I thought that as well, so have it down on the site menu as a Z8000. Unfortunately it looks like the menu and the page don't tie up at the moment, I need to update the page on Monday as it is currently online as Z80.asp but the link is Z8000.asp - easy to fix, as the page has been updated at home but evidently missed when doing the update

Next update will be a lot smaller (I now have regular ftp access on Mondays from an organisation where I am now doing voluntary work on the network and website).

Made by TOSHIBA.I have User's manual (JAPANESE version).
