I take this snapshot from Intersil 286 section of CPUPHOTOLIBRARY.COM.

But I am confused with the right one, I think it should be a Harris 286 rather than an Intersil 286.

What do you think about it?

a lil more complex

Intersil was bought by GE became GE Solid state, then was sold to Harris, which then spun it off again as, Intersil

But I still think this cpu should be catogried as Harris since it has logo of Harris while the left one has logo of Intersil. Right?

still another question, why should the top two cpus are milspec while the two cpus at the bottom are not milspec?
I cannot see any obvious difference between them Rolling Eyes

The lower two have been compared from printing instead of milspec. The comparison is always done in the lowest category. And i do not print out all the differences.

But yes i know that the Harris category is not 100% good since there are many chips with many differences.

If you find other errors feel free to email or PM me.

/Thomas

Hi all
I could have opened a new topic but it also fits here: is there any document saying the triangle on the Harris 286s means milspec? i have a few of them and they all came from ordinary PCs. shouldnt mean milspec also extended temperature range? the harris datasheets say that cs80c286 parts are 0 -70 ° C (the narrowest range from all) 5962-9067801MXC is part number of 10 MHz -55 to +125 °C for example.
