That was the trend since first server/workstation multicore chip.
When Amd made that fuss around 64 bit computing a lot of pc users knew that 64 bit was already there, but not for consumers.

What I'd like to see is no more marketing of cpus with 100 mhz steps, non-sense 250W video cards. We are at 1KW psus around.


If they really can have 80 cores for 11W we start thinking future, but go tell that to those incompetent marketing guys.
