I've just uploaded a couple of information pages, one for the i8008 and one for the i4040. I'd appreciate any comments, as the template for thopse pages will be the layout I use for other pages I will be working on (mostly for pre 32-bit processors, where information is available).

www.ukcpu.net/Information/Processors/4040/i4040.asp
www.ukcpu.net/Information/Processors/8008/i8008.asp

I should have similar pages for the i4004 and i8080 in a week or so, with (hopefully...) some non-Intel pages following not long after.

Any comments on the layout and appearance of the two pages above will be appreciated, prior to my creating links to them from within the site.

I am particularly interested to hear comments on how easy the color scheme is for reading, and whether the pages display and read correctly on different browsers (I have tested on Firefox 1.5 and IE 6 and 7 (not sure of sub-versions....), but obviously I'd like to know if there are other problems with the pages.

No problem. I'll also have a 4004 datasheet online when I post my 4004 info page next week Smile

Shame I can't remember off-hand where I downloaded those documents, as it would be nice to get permission from whoever scanned before I put too many documents on my site.

I've changed the colours to shades of pink/lilac and will upload early next week. I've made the same changes sitewide (I'm trying to use different pairs of colours to make different types of information easy to find on any page, as well as wanting to use "web-friendly" colours so that the pages will display the same on most (if not all) systems. I haven't been able to test on a Unix system yet so don't know if the colour schemes still look the same on various non Wintel based systems (that's a request for feedback from anyone who has such systems set up - I hope to upload the updates on Monday).
