I have two motherboards - 1. PC Chips - K7 Model M848ALU
2. Asus A7N8X SKT A Nforce 2 Chipset
Both these motherboards have A Sockets (462) could you please advise me which would be the better option for upgrading. (I have a AMD Athlon XP2400 + 266FSB & firewire in the Asus at the moment.)
Thank you. |

Thank you Gennadiy, have you any idea where I might purchase the upgrade, new if possible, second hand if I have to. Thanks again. |

These processors are obsolete - most companies don't sell them. A few companies that do sell them charge more than Athlon 64 + Mb + memory would cost (for example, check pricewatch.com). eBay has more reasonable prices, but they are pretty high too.
