Are there are IBM books that list there line chips etc. like Intel and some of the other manufacturers have? Like the books Chip68 sells from time to time.
I’ve come across a few IBM chips that look like small Power IIs but have no idea what they are. The only Google results are the large obsolete and rare parts sites. I am pretty hooked on collecting mainly IBM chips (along with VIA and Intel ES/QS/TS ) so I am sure I will be coming across many other IBM chips that I cannot identify. |

The only docs I know are the ones available on the IBM's website. In fact my better documentations are Doccybrown and ItsMeOnly _________________ My microprocessor collection: The Gecko's CPU Library |

I was thinking the same thing. I felt bad for posting so many "What the hell is this chip" posts that I wanted to try and find them on my own but I guess that may not always be possible. |

Nothing from the IBM help center, I askew about some old IBM chip code but also the person I contacted in IBM wasn't able to find information.
I posted a request in the IBM forum but at this time I think my post is the only without a reply.
I think the only way is find an IBM repair center with a "sweet heart" boss. |

Thanks ISA-D for checking...let me know if you find anything. I would like to compile a good list as I am going to focus on IBM chips. I came across "The Powerpc Architecture: A Specification for a New Family of Risc Processors" and am going to try and get a copy to start with.
I also may know someone who can doa little searching around for the IBm chip codes. |
