I have an ECS K7VTA3 V6.0. The ECS site says that it will support an Athlon XP 3000+ (.13u) (512K,333,Socket 462). If I get a 3000+ DKV4E (400mhz), will it work running at 333mhz with a higher (13) multiplier?

fsb*clock muliplier; 400*a fixed multi is fasterthan 333*fixed multi

if your m/b accepts it, the cpu will just run slower (losing mhz)

333 mhz fsb is 166.66 * clock multi, and 400 is 200*multi, if you want to check speed browsing the site's pages
