Hi
I have an ASUS A7V8X with a Athlon XP 2000+ and PC2700 RAM.
I was wondering what would be the fastes possible CPU I can replace it with. Would I need to upgrade the RAM to PC3200 also? I've read that in order to upgrade I would need to find a sticker on the south bridge to be FSB333. I dont see one on the chip or it could have come off. Is there a tool or certain chip number I will need to find to determine if it is or isnt FSB333? If not possible, can I upgrade to the 2800+ (AXDA2800DKV4D 2800+ Barton, Model 10, 266 MHz FSB)?
