Nice spotting! Any one else got a SK087? If you google on intel sk087 there are two hits. cpu-world.com and the library.

Adding some examples.

Intel A80486DX4-75 SK087 FAKE

Intel A80486DX4-75 SK047

Intel FC80486DX4-75 SK052

Intel A80486DX4-100 SX900

ah well spotted.

All my DX4-75 have an icomp of 319

and all my DX4-100 have an icomp of 435

Here is the wiki link to the info on icomps..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICOMP

It would seem that 435 is for DX4-100 only?

I think maybe intel made a mistake?

Or could this be a fake? Someone created their own sspec? If you google Intel and SK087 the only hits are Gennas sspec database and jrmunros chip in the library. Compare the word "INDEX" with the other prints.

Edit: Unzlbunzl, did you mean you got a SK087 or a 486DX4-75?

Looks like a fake to me. Laser markings look good, but white ink markings are very poorly done.

Do you remember/know if you got the sspec from John and not an "official" document?

I didn`t even notice that before. Thanks for pointing that out in my collection. I guess I need the proper A80486DX-75 icomp 319

My FC80486DX4-75 is icomp 319

I have a copy of CPUID that runs from DOS. I tested an A80486DX4-100 and
the fake DX4-75 and both returned this

Family - 4
Model - 8
Stepping - 0

Just to be sure I also tested these

DX-33
Family - 4
Model - 1
Stepping - 5

DX2-66
Family - 4
Model - 3
Stepping - 5
