I was just wondering if you could clock a Barton core Xp2600+ with FSB of 333 to 400 FSB with 400MHz PC3200 ram or is it a big ask?

Obviously MOBO make/options would be a factor here.

I'm curious because the Abit nf7-s v.2 with 400MHz PC3200 ram and a Xp2500+Barton are recognised in the bios as a Xp3200+ running dual channel on my own PC.

I don't have that much clocking experience except the easy way with the Abit.

Cheers for your help

thanks for that

could you explain how in a bit more detail??

is it just a matter of pushing the FSB on a board to match the MHz of the memory ie 400??

cheers
