Hi,
I listed three 3C515-TX 100 Mbit ISA NICs on eBay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290158592548
OK, I know they aren't CPUs , but they could be very useful to connect old PCs without PCI bus to 100 MBit Ethernet.
The 3c515 NIC from 3COM is the only one ISA Network Interface Card that supports 100 Mbps signaling rate.
All the NICs are in working condition. I tested them under different OS'es.
I accept PayPal and will ship worldwide. |

Oh nice ones although 16bit ISA is not fast enough to handle real 100MBit/s. _________________ Frank. |

The 3c515 isn't a common ISA-interface card.
It also supports (and makes use of) 12,5 MHz ISA bus frequency. In this mode the signaling rate is 100 MBit/s (12,5 MByte/sec * 8 = 100 MBit/s)
Usually the ISA bus is clocked with 8,33 MHz
Under these circumstances the signaling rate is 66,64 MBit/s (8,33 * 8 ) |

Huh? Never seen a mobo supporting more than 8,33MHz clock frequency... And I have seen a lot of mobos LOL... Maybe you have an example? _________________ Frank. |

Sure!
I have at least two mainboards supporting more than 8,33 MHz.
I am using these in my computers.
One of them is quite modern Asus K7M mainboard for a Slot-A Athlon.
This mainboard supports up to 16,5 MHz ISA-bus frequency (PCICLK/2 ).
Another board I have is an old 486 mainboard (with UMC chipset).
I don't know the board's name and I am too lazy to open the PC.
This board supports 12,5 MHz ISA bus.
(If you tell me how to find out the board's name without opening the case, I'll do it. )
I also have 2 old VLB and one 386 ISA board. I do remember they support >8,33Mhz ISA bus frequency too.
But I am not able to proof this because they are not mounted in PC. That's why I can't check the BIOS settings. |

Third board I use -
the Abit PT5 R2 (Socket 7 - 66 MHz FSB - Intel 82430 FX chipset) supports only up to 11MHz ISA clock frequency (FSB/6). |
