Hi,
I have a older system based on an abit NF7 motherboard with an Athlon 2000+ in it. From what I can tell the motehrboard will support up to 333FSB and from your website the 3200+ is the highest I can find with 333FSB. What kind of performance jump am I looking at. I'm mainly concerned about video editing. The system has 1GB of PC2700 DDR.

Birthday video editing or semi serious?
If you can get it with a decent price why not, but 2 gigs of ram would be a good couple too.
If you want to keep all youe stuff maybe try to find some socket 939 used motherboard + cpu, more performing or at least less cash to upgrade. |

3200+ is the highest socket A CPU with 333 MHz FSB, but it's very difficult to find. You may consider Athlon XP 3000+ instead - it'll also be pretty good boost for your computer, and it will be cheaper.

birthday/home video stuff for sending to parents. Presently rendering about an hour of DV to dvd format takes a 3-4 hours and the system becomes unstable if I try and do anything else while its rendering.
I want to keep my existing components, since I don't want to spend a lot of money on buying new memory/video cards etc...
