I'm running this processor on a Gigabyte GA-7VT600-RZ mobo. All info I can find on this mobo says it has a Via KT600 chip set. However when I run recognition software it shows the board has a Via KT400A chipset. I'm just wondering if this board will support a XP Athlon 3200 chip or not?

If your mobo is really a GA-7vt600-rz, you can read the right chipset on its name (V=Via, T600=KT600).
This is the list of the CPU's supported

http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_Model.aspx?ProductID=1763

and so ...also all Athlon XP models included XP3200+
