I have a dead motherboard, ami bios, gives beeps.
1 long and 2 shorts (video problem) - vga card works in 2 other systems - ok
after this, two short low pitched beeps, no clue on what they mean.
Does anyone know? Out of curiousity as the mobo is dead, or the cpu but no working 939 to test...
Googled a lot but couldn't find any answer, if you know tell me.
Thanks
ps I tried everything before coming to the death conclusion. |

2 short beeps
A memory parity error has occurred in the first 64K of RAM. The RAM IC is probably bad. |

I wanted to know the two "baritone" beeps (not the same pitch of good POST, which is higher), never had that.
In fact I got the same error with many vid cards, and a selection of 24 ram modules... from 1 gb to 128 megs, pc3200 to pc1600... had lots of fun!!
I know it's not IC gone gaga, already been through manual beep codes, useless though.
I troubleshooted myself for once... |
