a have a hp dv-6000 and have upgraded the cpu from a AMD tl-56 1.8ghz to a AMD tl-64 2.2ghz and when i play crysis i cant see a difference since this was the reason i upgraded my cpu in the first place can someone help me out.
other specs:
ram maxed out at 2g
graphics card GeForce 7200
these specs should easily play crysis on minimum settings now but dont?

cpu-z and my computer confirms my faster cpu but it dosnt act that way
i am happy with overclocking if this makes a difference but dont know how

There's nothing for it.
It is a notebook.
first of all, crysis wants to have other graphics card. You can't change it.

Google for nvidia 7200 mobile support.

I have an 8600M GT, it freezes running Crysis just by watching the screen...
You need minimum drivers to work, and I guess your vid card is too old for it.

Sad.

IMHO, You need a desktop Smile
Or you have to wait several years for next generations mobile graphics card. (there are no notebook able to play crysis now)

GeForce 7200 is integrated VGA on motherboard (share memory from RAM) it is good for very old games not actual. I didn't run Crysis on my PC yet (GeForce 7950GT 512 MB) but I don't suspect play comfortable on high or even medium details.

You can get new motherboard for your notebook, but only near the same you already have. Notebook mobos are very unique. You have to get other model notebook to use other graphics card.
BUT! even through you'll buy the best (and the most expensive $3000+) notebook, you stlill be unable to play crysis.

I think thats all she will do for you , Youre asking a huge task of that cpu and gpu just to play the game at all.

Even on the top vid card Crysis has limited performance.

There is nothing you can do. Wait for 2008 Q2-3 and then buy a new laptop.
Also you'll have 80% of crysis bugs solved.
