LZF70000 are handing out the 286 sample as a complementary gift with almost all his high-end auctions so these chips does not seem to be rare. I believe someone paid a whole lot more for the 286 sample when it first was discovered.
I think i have seen trays of the 186 also so they does not seem to be rare.

The 186 is not rare, infact there are thousands of various QFP intel chips that are marked samples.
Yes, I think LZF has big tray of 286 samples. |

almost all LZF's 286 samples were damaged. I think he haven't big stock of them. They will dissapear in near weeks or months and then we say : " damn I could buy one for my collection". I think it is worth to buy it now at resonable price. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
