Yes, I know the core is virtual due to hyperthreading.
Here what I see: Running Orthos on my re-capped GX270 board, with 865G chipset, and my P4 3.0HT with 1MB cache, it operates 2 threads of the stability test.
I have done this burn in twice (New caps work great) and in both instances, the 2nd thread had run SIGNIFICANTLY faster than the 1st thread... Right now, it's is 4 tests in on the 1st thread, and 6 in on the second!
What gives? Is it the operating system overhead? Thats my only guess. |
