I got this Transmeta ES recently. I'm not sure what model it is, as it has nothing marked on it that would help me identify it.
Can anyone identify it? Naturally when I list it (and when I sell the spares I have of it) I'd like to list it correctly SO far the best I can say is that it is an early ES of an unknown Transmeta Crusoe chip _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

The "5304" in the bottom left is on some TM5800. The logo changed to this one during the time they were releasing version 0.3, between weeks 21 and 26 2001 (see hte two 800MHz examples I have at my site.
The problem I have is that this one doesn't have the capacitors on it (the others I have are the same). _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

It is possible it was a sample released before they knew what capacitors to use, but that would it strange that they have the newer logo. I'm going to keep searching to see if I can find another like it with someone who is sure of what they have Shame I don't have a board to test Transmeta LGA chips _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

If it was a BGA, then it would have some kind of solder traces on the gold contacts. If a mech sample, then they could be interesting _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

| Odds are it was inserted at least once, so check for small divots on the "LGA" pads, a slight indentation in the copper/gold made by the LGA connector pin. |

This is probably of limited use, but it might help with it's life history: The writing seems to be that of an 'oriental' person (I work for a Japanese electronics company and the Japanese at least seem to have a 'special' way of writing 'Roman' (western) characters)
Or it could have been written by a Chinese or Taiwanese person... |

They were bought from China (lzf7000). Unfortunately that doesn't help identify which model they are.
I will be looking more at other sites to compare different markings at some point, but have been busy scanning and getting as little organised first though _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
