Hi there,

i would like to upgrade my computer with the most powerfull CPU available for my motherboard Epox 8kta3+ (old 2001 mb)
It is a socket A mb.

I currently have a Duron 800 Mhz.

I have checked on the support Epox web site but found nothing related about my mb.

His spec are :

* Avec jumper JP5 en position 100 MHz :

95, 100, 102, 104, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110,
111, 112, 113, 114, 116, 118, 120 MHz

* Avec jumper JP5 en position 133 MHz :

124, 127, 130, 133, 136, 140, 145, 150, 155,
160, 166 MHz

I think I could go for an Athlon Thunderbird 1400 Mhz, but can I go for higher CPUs ?

Thanks for your answers.

12,5x133.33= 1666,625, fréquence maximum réelle pour des athlon xp.

2000+ alors.

Have fun.
