I am running a web server for a database driven website.
I can choose between:
- Intel Dual Core Xeon 3050
- Intel Pentium IV 3.2 GHz Hyper
Which one is better? Does it make a big difference?
Thanks. |

| I think that the Xeon 3050 will be the best. It is based on the Core micro architecture, which is Intel's newest. It has less power consumption, pruduce less heat and has at least equal or even better performance than the NetBurst (Pentium 4) based Xeon |

Yes, Core 2 Duo at 1.8GHz is equivalent to a P4 HT at 3.5Ghz, for most apps
Core 2 Duo has 2 REAL cores, has 1/2/4MB Shared L2 and has a much, much more effecient architecture. Less heat, less electric bill!! |
