Mobile cpu upgrade.

I'm about to upgrade from a Celeron 850 to a P3, I'd like to know what you think about it.

The Celeron has 100 mhz fsb (as P3), but 128Kb of L2 cache vs 256 of P3.

So I have: C850 vs. P3 700 mhz.

Would there be much benefit? I use the laptop just for surfing the web and watch some movies (x264 don't go too well, alas) and dvds (flawless with xubuntu). Graphics powered by S3 (8 mB of ram and agp 2x).

I'm asking because I don't have time to unmount and mount and becnhmark, not easy as an ATX board.

The problem is that I couldn't find any review of mobile celeron vs mobile p3, as the fsb is 100 mhz I can't just take the desktop results as consistent to my question.

worthless IMHO. For such applications, you will not see the difference
