I can't find anything on these chips Markings on the chip look like custom numbers, so these could be mask programmed ROM chips.

most likely ROM chips...made by NCR (National Cash Register)
Most chips in 28 pin packages are ROMs and EPROMs.
the fujitsu chips are 2716 16k EPROMs _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Two top chips are from RT PC Advanced Processor Board:

They are probably peripheral/support chips.
I couldn't find anything about bottom two chips.

They are IBM chips and have IBM house numbers, this is why so difficult to find any information on them. I don't see any copyrights on the chips, so they were probably designed by IBM. As for the tin cans I don't know why they are made this way.

no one collects ROMs (unless VERY early ones)
some people collect early EPROMs and the ones you have are a little different..so they may sell.
IBM also made some memory (on a 30 pin SIMM) in that package.
It probably was a cheaper package then ceramic. _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

the Boca ant ATT/AT&T chips are modem ships
The fujitsu part is a Ethernet Data Link Controller
the tanberg parts I believe are tape controllers _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Those "cans" look alot like the devices used in the old IBM "Series" mainframes. I suspect the bottom has an early pin grid array for external contact. |
