Hey, ive just bought an E2180 for my new system, however i was wondering which CPU would be better to use between this and my old P4 3.00GHz? I have 2gb Geil Ram at 800MHz with a Gigabyte S-Series MOBO.
Thanks for any suggestions guys.

I think the E2180 will outperform the P4 and it will consume less power and dissipate less heat, which is also an advantage over the P4

The e2180 will definitely outperform the P4. Tom's Hardware CPU Charts 2007, http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu_2007.html , doesn't list the e2180, but they do list the slower e2160, and it is faster than the P4.

I have an e2160 overclocked to 3.06GHz and it screams. After reading this article: http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/09/12/pentium_dual_core/, I immediately ordered a Gigabyte motherboard and e2160. Since then Intel has released the e2180 and the e2200.
