celeron d 3.0 ghz vs. celeron dual core 1.6 ghz

Whch is faster and more efficient to use with these two processors?

The dual core by a good margin, its based on the Core architecture rather then the old celeron D (which is still really a P4 core)

Hello,
Which would be the best choice of cpu, considering performance, technology, and anything else?? price is about the same.

p4 550j 3.4ghz or celeron e1500 2.2ghz
