i bought this processor new from newegg in 2003. i have thrown away the box and only have the info from my order history.

i purchased: AMD Athlon XP 2700+ Thoroughbred 2.167GHz Socket A Processor Model AXDA2700BOX. i dont see this listed on cpu world athlon xp page.

these 2 are listed:
AMD Athlon XP 2700+ - AXDA2700DKV3D (Thoroughbred (Model Cool)
AMD Athlon XP 2700+ - AXDA2700DKV4D (Barton (Model 10))

cpu-z tells me i have a 2700+ Barton.

is the model# AXDA2700BOX correct?

The AXDA2700BOX part number is correct,, but it only indicates that this is a retail packaged CPU.

If CPU-Z is a recent version, then it is probably correctly indicating that you have the Barton variant, with 512KB L2 cache.
