I want to upgrade my cpu to AMD Athlon XP(hp says thats the farthest I can upgrade it) I have Compaq Presario SR1500NX
AMD Sempron 3000+ 2.0 GHz 333 MHz(Socket 462)
Asus A7V8X-LA motherboard am i able to upgrade to the AMD Athlon XP 3200+ - AXDA3200DKV4E

You wont notice much of a difference.
But, I know that board goes for around $50 on flEbay, so it's a good point to think about upgrading.
Does your board have SATA? If so, consider selling, I had one, with SATA, and sold it for $65. It's a rare board, and some companies and consumers NEED to replace, cant upgrade. |
