Hi
I have a Fujitsu Mobo model D1120:
http://download.fujitsu-siemens.com/Download/Download.asp?SoftwareGUID=4C0E594C-7FD3-445C-96FE-05CB5411FC92
It is fitted with a Celeron 466 Spec SL3EH CPU at present and was wondering if anyone could tell me if I could upgrade to the following processors ok:
Celeron 733 Spec SL4P3
Celeron 1GHz Spec SL5XT
What's the fastest Celeron CPU I could get for this board? - I'm getting confused about the different package types for the older Celerons. Intel's website decribe's my current package type as PPGA and the package type of the two CPUs above as 370 pin PPGA - Are they different?
Please Help!!!
Thanks |

Without good motherboard manual it's not possible to tell. The Fujitsu manual doesn't mention maximum clock multiplier and minimum core voltage supported by the board. So I'll just speculate. The board says it supports 100 MHz FSB Celerons. Those start from 800 MHz and have almost the same core voltage as the 733 and 1GHz Celeron you mentioned. So the core voltage should not be a problem. As for the clock multiplier check your motherboard BIOS and the motherboard itself - this information should be there somewhere.

Actually, they are in FC-PGA package. But don't worry about the package as they all fit into the same old socket 370 as your Celeron 466.
