| I wouldn't bother with the q9550. A q9300 can easily be overclocked to have the same results and at about $270 it is a much stronger buy. If I was buying today I would have a hard choice between that and the Q6600 at $200. |

IMHO the Q6600 is much better than the Q9300. The Q6600 has 8 MB of L2 cache and the Q9300 has only 6 MB.
The Q6600 is more overclockable. A Q6600 can be very easily overclocked from 2.40 to 3.00 GHz by setting the FSB from 1066 to 1333 MHz.
The Q9300 already runs at 1333MHz FSB, therefore the board must support a FSB higher than 1333 to overclock this CPU. |
