I am pretty confused, never seen a 42 pin package variant of a DIP40 chip - besides soviet clones

... found a document showing such a variant. Here it is.

Look at the outcome of this, $382.77

My top bid was $30 and the next one was Bidder 5 who went straight to $234.60 ( where did he pick that amount from ). There was no other bids in between.

Here is a link to the auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=190139453107

I noticed that "top$gold" bid on this and other eBay "rare-chips-4-u" auctions. I never seen top$gold bidding on individual chips before, he was always bidding on gold scrap lots. His bid on this and a few other auctions is $19, and he's from the same state as "rare-chips-4-u".

I had a connection problem while trying to bid in the last second.
If I had placed my bid, at least one bid would have been inbetween - $82.

Who sais he has only one sample of each chip:-)

And as long as top$gold bids just 5 percent of the final value he shill - ehem shall bid as long as he likes.

bidder 5 is me
i have use snip (www.snip.pl) for ebay biding in recent one year
however, i feel a little regret now.
if i could snipe it manually or if i knew mac11 is biding on this (i was overbided by mac11 3 times recently) , i might set 412.4 USD for this chip

by the way ,this seller is an easy guy to deal with , i have ever won auction from him when his ebay feedback is zero

Don't forget there was another guy you need to outbid.
And if you are willing to pay +400 then you should bid this.

... same thing like me, i was not interested enough in the 14x3301 board from Chris so my bid amount was too low. Unfortunately the picture was very bad, after the auction I suspect some of the 3301 chips being marked with the ___intel___ and no "i"Sad((

Probably the same person. Top$gold is the buyer of scrap lots, finds out that there are money in collectable chips and creates an account to sell.

Another detail...

rare-chips-4-u is located in Boxford, MA
top$gold has phonenumber 978-794-0691 where the area code is for *drumroll* Boxford, MA

Both has "30 Years in the scrap electronics business"

I doubt that a town with 7921 inhabitants has two electronic scrap businesses that has been there for over 30 years...
