Hi all,

Do you think a Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 (like that : link) is compatible with Sonoma architecture (pentium M).

Even if the bus speed is lowest than the i945 chipset, the sonoma has the same socket.

Thanks for your answers and please excuse my poor english Wink

Sonoma Pentium M is Socket mPGA-479 (Socket 479) or mPGA-478C.
Napa Core 2 is mPGA-478MT (Socket M).
=> Not same socket.

See differences :

Socket 478 (mPGA478C), Socket 479 (mPGA479M), Socket M (mPGA478MT)

Wow, after long time of googleing, I was not able to find any photo of mPGA478C !! Only mPGA479.
mPGA478C was not popular, and has been shortly replaced by Socket 479.

Anyway, thanks for the photo !
