Hello All,

I am going to sell a few more of the duplicates in my collection over the next few weeks ( ebay.co.uk user id = qiqi + Ebay shop = Qimera ).

Is there a price guide as I have no idea if it's worth hanging onto some of the modern AMD ones or to make some space... err for more "classic" ones :S

If anyone can give me a rough indication I'd appreciate it for the following :-

AMD K6-2-333
AMD K6-2-366
AMD K6-2-400
AMD K6-2-475
AMD K6-2-500
AMD K6-2-550

All the Best

There's also an AMD K6-2-450 to complete the set Smile

AMD-K6/233ACZ
AMD-K6/233BCZ

AMD-K6-2/350AMZ

If you plan to sell them on Ebay, make a starting price of 1€, and see the result. Most of time, end price is the market price.

I was hoping that someone had compiled a rough price guide ?

If a CPU is worth under $1 it doesn't seem worth the time to list it Sad As CPUs are suddenly being collected they may also rocket in value over the next few years (I am an optimist).

Thanks for reply I will include exact types when I list.

Cpu collecting is a new and still very small area of collecting. Therefore is a reliable price guide very difficult to build. Since the market are really small the prices fluctuate a lot when all collectors wanting a piece got it.

For example, i bought a AMD K6-2 337 with IBM FRU number when they where discovered a few years ago, paid around $35 for it. After a year or so alot of 337:s had come onto the market and where sold for around $10. Why? The market was flooded. All collectors wanting one got one and the chip was not rare anymore.

So, for 99% of the chips its still to early to compile a price guide.

But.. I have started a project to build up a database to a future price guide. Check it here http://www.chipdb.org/index.php?template=toplist

Edit: The best price guide you can get now is ended auctions at eBay. Be sure to look for the complete model, not only speed as you listed above since there are different models with the same speed that are rarer than others.

Besides Ebay and the Toplist, there is an excellent price guide written by George Phillips, "The Collector's Guide to Vintage Intel Microchips", but it is Intel specific.
