Hi i have been tring to install windows xp on an old computer to get me through untill i can build my HTPC. However i am having a problem getting XP to install on my hard drive. It partions fine and installs fine untill i get the graphic install where it shows you how much longer it takes to install and tells you all the fancy new stuff XP does. This stage starts fine and then i get an error message that says :
Error
SXS.DLL error in manifested or policy file
"D:\I386\ASMS\10\MSFT\Windows\GDIPLUS\GDIPLUS.MAN" on line 4

Error
Installation Failed: D:\I386\ASMS Error message incorrect function
XXX
Fatel Error
one of the components thta windows needs to continue setup could not be installed Incorrect function
If any one has gotten this error befour and knows how to fix it i would appreciate the help. Even if you dont know this piticular error but no what i can do to try and trouble shoot it would be extreamly appreciated. |
