Hi,

I traded this CPU :

While inspecting it i had a good look at the markings :

BP80503-200 SL274, 2.5V

I looked up the S-spec code and the description in the official Intel documentation shows the CPU with this code as an Boxed, PPGA with a core voltage of 2.7V-2.9V.

Can anybody help explaining this?

The writting are fake.

The real CPU are NOT marked :

See back picture

Ps : Just remove the backplate to be sure...

Yes, it's a fake. Your processor is in TCP package, not in PPGA.

BTW, it seems that this S-Spec number is not unique. SL274 was also used for Pentium MMX 266:

@ The_Mad

Is your P120 MMX an ES? You have categorized it under ES and not under Special Chips (Not ES). But i see no ES markings.

The chip itself is not an engineering sample. However, the package was used as engineering sample to test the CPU. So, i put it in "ES" chips.
