Hi there,
I didn't seem to have success with my search for P4 users in the other thread, may be it was too new CPU for you
So I'm also searching for results for older CPU's for my benchmark
http://www.mikusite.de/x86/KMB_V0.53G-32b-MT.zip
Homepage with results:
http://www.mikusite.de/pages/x86.htm
So basically I would like to see runs of the FPU-Version of my benchmark on ancient CPU's. They got to have support of FPU-instructions invented with Pentium Pro line. Also I think Windows 98 and Direct-Draw must be there to run it.
As far as I know AMD K5 or K6 didn't have the relevant instruction set and might crash...for Cyrix or Via I don't know...for Intel results for Pentium Pro and Pentium II would be interesting. I expect quite long running time for all old CPU's (several minutes...) of the bench. |

You should match the results with the core revision (IE Mendocino, Joshua, Tualatin, netburst ETC) as well as speed... People would then be able to look at how speed effects a certain core, and how onw core at speed X is compared to another core at speed Y so on and so forth.
Also, for all the results, you should have only one benchmark No point in collecting results when the standards keep changing... If you have 1 test and accrue many results from it, and that test does not change, the results could become useful to quite a few people! |

Okay, good hint, I always now put it also, if I got the information from the people (sometimes they didn't say).

Yeah, of course...but you got to see my historic versions from the point of a coder...I needed all the testing to finalize and learn the optimization, finally now resulting in version 0.53G, because I think this is now so optimized that it will be my standard for the long time. Time shouldn't stand still for code also, as you see may be with 3DMark, I think they every year release a new version.
Ups...I see that I may be should have put this thread in the Vintage section...if some administrator here wants to move it, just do it... |

I see that you updated the benchmark again. I could do some benchmarking with it, but I cannot use the benchmark for my purposes if it keeps changing... Do you plan any more changes to the program?
