Any ideas on how to remove the bottom plastic carrier? I have some LSi and i860XP chips with this on the bottom and havent had good luck removing it.
I've tried a heatgun but it doesnt seem to want to come off. Any tips or tricks?

| Or you can use lever (knife) and put it between cpu and reduction. |

If it's that firm in place, I would leave it there to help protect the pins if you are planning to sell them. I guess I saw this too late though, as you posted this a few hours ago... _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

| But these LSI chips are seriously hard to get out so I thought they might have been soldered in. A good tug and they came out. |
