Hello!

I own Assus A6Rp - AP002 with Intel Celeron M440 processor and mPGA 479M (micro FCPGA socket) socket. Chipset of its motherboard is defined as ATI Radeon® Xpress 200M. I would like to extend its abilities, so I deicided to change its CPU. So my question is: which types of CPU will this Assus support ?? Will it support core duo or core 2 duo??

Thank You for solving this problem.

Have you contacted Asus support?

Asus has a site, maybe try checkinh their forum, or google using the chipset name and the cpu you intend to use, maybe with the laptop's model number.

Members of Asus Technical Support haven't enought knowledge about this problem! I asked them mamy times! One of them claimed that even Celeron M440 will not be supported ! /before CM 440 I had CM420/! So I changed my CPU by my self at home using only srcewdriver and this CPU is working now well! So I dont consider their opinion!

Using their forum is useless! People dont answer your post because they simply dont know the aswer!

I've been checking google site for a long time! There are very different informations! So i deicided to ask for helo here :]

sorry for my english, but I'm not fro UK or USA!
