Looks like his price range, you're right
I new it was really rare, but didn't expect price to be so high ! But as usual, market price is set only once there is a buyer, and I'm not sure the biggest iAPX lover would spend such a high price for the set...
Anyway, it's good to know there are some pieces on the market... It's the first time I hear a iAPX432 set is for sale somewhere...

The seller isn't LZF7000 (but the the price is in his line) and the set isn't on Ebay
After the seller let me know his request I askew only a photo (for free) and this is his reply
"Feel free to email any time. I might not be able to help with the
photograph in the short term. The photograph on my web page isn't mine
to offer, and the chips are buried in storage so I can't get to them
easily to photograph them. However, once I do clean up storage, I'll
take a photo that you can use.
Best regards,
Eric" |

The seller is demanding $25000 for them, but he is too lazy to dig the chips out of the storage to take the photos? A bit strange, don't you think?
If I had something extremely rare and valuable for sale I would do anything to attract the potential buyers and won't store such fragile items somewhere deep in the storage where I won't be able to find them!
No rational seller will place such a treasure deep inside the pile - unless he has 10 crates full of C4004 with grey traces, M8008 and P8008 on the top of his storage.
I fear you will get something like the chip on the photo.

my guess is that this "Eric" is a IAPX432 collector "Eric Smith"
http://www.brouhaha.com/~eric/retrocomputing/intel/iapx432/quip/
He ask 25000 USD just because he doesnt want to sell it |
